Attached is a little program to convert the data from the FAA TOD team ( Terrain and Obstacles ) so it can be imported into Plan-G Versions 2 & 3. There are just too many obstacles / options etc.. to upload here. It's easy to use and can provide a set of import .csv(s) in just a few minutes.

The above file works just fine for users that have their Windows "decimal" setting as "." . For international users that use a comma "," for a decimal point a fixed package is available here - http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=&FileName=us_dof_2_plan-g_v1.0.01.zip&Author=&CatID=root

Hi Spokes,

Interesting and the download of the data went very well. I put the data within Documents plan G import, but it would not show up on the map.

What I did find out was that I could pick and choose the state by going to Plan-G tab DATA, Manage, selecting IMPORT (on Manage User Waypoints),
then Data, Plan-G Import and select the state from that. Then all towers (in my case Wisconsin) would appear. Lots & lots of Towers, Tanks, and buildings.

It works, that's the bottom line.

Thanks for the little program...and most of all for the Read Me.Txt, that's imperative to read!

Chuck,

I'm glad it worked for you. Yes, all this program provides is the source files for database import in Plan-G format. Once that occurs use the Plan-G manual for information on how to import.

Couldn't help but noticing that you imported for WI. & that your ham call had the WI in it - so... Looked at your account profile. Seems we're only 30 miles apart, I'm in KGRB - cool.
