No active FILE tab in Plan-G

Hello fellow flightsimmers,

I want to connect Plan-G over a network to the FSX pc. The manual says in the FILE tab, can be chosen for connection by FSUIPC.
However, I see a 'non-active' FILE tab, that is not reacheble. Is it nessesary to first import the FSX files manualy before the FILE tab is reacheble and FSUIPC connection can be set ?
