Plan-G not connecting to fs

I am trying to get Plan-G to  connect to FS9 on a network . Plan-G on laptop running XP , FS9 on home pc also running xp . I have registered versions of Wide Fs and FSUIPC V3.65 . I can get Wide FS to connect but Plan-G will not . The log file shows
    Error opening FSUIPC: FSUIPCException: FSUIPC Error 14: FSUIPC-ERR-RUNNING
at FSUIPC.FSUIPCConnection.Open(Flightsim RequiredFlightSimVersion)
at FSUIPC.FSUIPCCONNECTION.OPEN()
at FS.FSUIPC.CONNECT()

I have registered versions of Wide Fs and FSUIPC V3.65 . I can get Wide FS to connect but Plan-G will not .

Just a stab in the dark - the latest version of FSUIPC is 3.93, and WideFS is at 6.78.

And do you have FSUIPC selected in Global\Options\FS Connection?

Not seen that particular error before - I'll have to find out about it.
