Hello Tim,

After de-installing DOT 4.5 replacing it by the previous version my Kernel error disappeared. However, I'm using your old Plan-G 2.0.5.493 in parallel to develop AFCADs and it quits working, too. As I'm a bit afraid that you might have to move towards DOT 4.5 with later versions of your Plan-G 3.x (which I actually use  for flight planning and moving map) I do not want to get rid of the old version, too.

Conclusion: It would be tremendous If you could find out a way to circumvent this issue, probably by naming a required DLL (or whatever it is) that can be installed in parallel. Last (and best) solution would be of course likely a new build. Pleeeeeze :c017:

Okay, I'll make the next build 4.5 dependent, if that's what people want...

Well, it's not what we want but forced by MS$ by not allowing any parallel install within a main version any more. Please don't forget Plan-G 2.0.5.493 (no other changes or fixes are required). It's the only possibility not only to check the real airport area but to get geographical reference points to develop corrections as well. Thanks for your understanding.

Not gonna happen, I'm afraid. To use Dotnet 4.5 I'd need to upgrade to Visual Studio 2012, and that's going to cost almost £600, best price, which I simply don't have. So, sorry but it's staying with 4.0.

I can provide manual install builds (with no installer) if that helps...

:o  That's indeed quite a pile of money. Tim, I can understand your decision quite well. Mine is also clear. As I do not expect updates of REX each week, I'm going to leave the update checker and installer based on DOT NET 4.5 away. Plan-G is more important for me. However, I can't judge myself if a manual install would circumvent the general incompatibility. If so it would be a great plan.
