Ai and multiplayer aircraft / no ID

Good Morning / Afternoon,

As a new PlanG user and what a great little program it is, I am trying to find my way around the options. I have perused the forum for an answer to my question but thus far no success.

I managed to connect with a friend in multiplayer/ Direct connect FSX and Plan G showed his aircraft with no problems. The thing is that when I hover over his or any other ai aircraft I see the altitude and heading etc. but the aircraft shows as Make N/a and model N/a ( well I think thats what it means)

Is there a way to identify each aircraft? I do on occasion fly multi with a few people, connected in the same method, and it can be difficult to establish who is who on the PlanG map.

Thankyou in advance

Paul

Have a look in your multiplayer client software and see if there is an option set to suppress traffic data. It may be labelled as "TCAS" or similar. If the data gets sent to Plan-G, Plan-G will display it.

Thankyou for that Tim,

I have searched for your suggested fix but with no luck. I am using the FSUIPC ( latest version ) and wideserver/wideclient.  Even in single player mode I do not get this information :(

I am using Ultimate Traffic2 for AI aircraft, again they show up but with no info.

I also can not get simconnect to work so am using the fsuipc setup on IP4? This connects fine and works.

WinXP with all the updates and a medium end system. FSX with acceleration. (Gold Edition)

It is no doubt just a setting that I have not seen to but buggered if I can find which one:(

Thanks again

Paul
