cannot save flight plan

when making flight plan, I go to file , select airport & start plan. after I have made up route I then try to save as, but for some reason I cannot get save as button to activate, highlighted area is stuck on recent files.
this has only occurred during the last 2 weeks, previously no problem.
I have deleted & reinstalled plan g to no avail.
help would be appreciated.

problem solved, found remedy on previous post ( deleted cfg file).
