Drop in frame rates with pop-up messages

I've noticed that when I'm landing, and I get one of the pop-up messages re  distance to go, etc.  I get a large drop in frame rates.  Almost to the point I can't fly the plane.  I'm running an older P4, 3.2 gig machine, but it doesn't happen when I'm at higher altitudes.

Any thoughts?

You could try disabling VNAV profiling -- set the VNAV profile in Options to 0 ft/min

Ta mate...I'll try that.  I also see where you can disable the VNAV alerts. (Last resort)

I noticed that too! Otherwise it runs great and I will definitely try that option.
