Plan g on network

Hi I have decided to use plan g over a network however setting up simconnect looks very complicated  I have widefs and am going to use this just wondering if there is any problems using widefs as I know simconnect is faster and is the preferred option.

WideFS Client simply looks like FSUIPC to Plan-G, so provided you have WideFS set up correctly, it should be no trouble.
