Another wish

The possibility to measure the QDM to any desired point is great. However, I would wish it to be extended in a way that bearing points outside the flight path would be shown in the flightplan and stored (marked, of course) with it, bearing and distance could be written like the Dist and Track °M data without being exported nor considered for the time calculations. Of course it should show up again when reloading the flight plan.

Just today I discussed with a couple of people the possibility how to navigate without having a GPS just by using the old style radio navaids, and demonstrated it while using FSX and Plan-G side-by-side (to avoid any questions: everything happens on a pure voluntary base!). It would be great if this feature of FSNav could be reanimated.

Yes, similar to this feature. In FSNav it had been possible just to mark a waypoint being already in the list and selecting the desired reference navaid just per right click as being a XRef. In those cases a (dashed) reference line had been drawn to your previously marked position as far as I can recall it- very convenient. I probably did not use this already build in function, because I'm not getting the related context menu each time. It seems to me a matter of trial and error, while the not persistent "QDM Range and bearing" shows up each time (of course useful too). Probably it's just me, but I didn't get the general principle when this choice shows up, usually it doesn't (see attached picture). If you could explain how getting this choice in a reliable way I would be happy. I'm not able to reproduce any previous success.  :-[

However, it seems to be useful getting this function optionally when defining own waypoints as this would be great to construct SIDs and STARs. Generally, distance and bearing would amend such definition in case of a VORDME in a perfect way.  8)
