Plan-G in FSX SE Steam

I have been dabbling with FSX Steam. Plan G seems to have a minor (?) problem.

The User Aircraft icon, the little yellow airplane, refreshes only every 40-45 seconds or so. It is set in the Options area to 5 seconds.

The same flight plan in FSX is OK.

First report I've had of that. Try setting the map update to "Fixed" - it should reposition the map every time there is a User Aircraft refresh. Does that then only happen every 40 seconds or so? What about different values in Options?
