Hello Tim, I have just found your software and have installed it without any problems!! However, there's always a however!, I am not getting any airspace coloured areas. I have re built the data base three times,
but still no joy.I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still no airspaces showing.I have looked through the forum but have not found any answer to my problem.
I have Windows 7 64bit and I am using FSX only. I have attached the log file you have asked others for.
   Can you help please.

It's not finding any airspace bgls in your scenery. Did you move or rename them at any point?

Hello Tim, I am not aware that I have done anything at all.All my scenery goes in the FSX add-on scenery folder.Nearly all of my scenery comes from ACG for the military airfields, with civilian ones from
Orbx and Sim720. As you know they all come with an auto install and all airfields appear as they should do.
Does the data base build read the FSX library? I only have some of the RAF airfields live in the FSX library at the moment.
As far as I am aware everything should be in the right folders. Any suggestions?

Another thing to check is that Plan-G is reading the right scenery.cfg -- the one in ProgramData, not the one in the FSX program folder.

No, it wasn't directed to the right place to pick-up the scenery cfg. I did a new scenery data base build directing to the ProgramData one. However I still dont get the airspace areas showing. ???
Everything else appears to be showing on the map.  :) I have attached the latest G-Plan log. On the log at 18:49:29 there are two error readings. What do they mean? Have you any idea :-[

Looks like it might be a corrupt airport file. It's not the cause of this problem, however.

There are three files that contain the airspace data, they are:

BNXWorld0.bgl - 2.3MB (18/7/2006 22:14)
BNXWorld1.bgl - 1.8MB (18/7/2006 22:14)
bvcf.bgl - 4MB (12/5/2006 06:49)

And they are all in FSX\Scenery\World\Scenery. (date & time stamps are from FSX Gold Edition on my PC)

Please confirm they are present and correct.

This is how I see them in my log file

20:33:07.5 Scanning folder 001: Scenery\World
20:33:07.6 BNXWorld0.bgl Apts: 0 Vors: 0 Ndbs: 0 wpts: 0 Approaches: 0 Bdys: 7914
20:33:07.8 BNXWorld1.bgl Apts: 0 Vors: 0 Ndbs: 0 wpts: 0 Approaches: 0 Bdys: 9143
20:33:07.9 bvcf.bgl Apts: 0 Vors: 0 Ndbs: 0 wpts: 0 Approaches: 0 Bdys: 4201

I don't see them in yours, just some Orbx stuff (which is not a problem).

Hello Tim, Thank you for highlighting the relevant files that were not present in my G-Plan log.The problem has been solved.needless to say it was self inflicted :-[
In my FSX\Scenery\World\Scenery I have three different folders splitting up  different traffic files for different periods ie.  RAF/Civil Modern, RAF Retro and one marked original.
The three files you highlighted were in the original folder and were not in the Scenery folder to be read/used. Therefore  they were not showing when building the database ???
Thanks for taking the time to sort out my problem.Having found your brilliant software only this past week I could see it being put on the 'doesn't work pile'
Living in the Northern Highlands I can only get broadband via satellite so all the extra detail on the planning map will cause it to run slow >:( Superfast fibre optic >:( I wish!!!
By the way should those three files be running in FSX all the time even without running Plan-G3 ?

tim arnot

If you leave those files out, the default GPS won't have airspace data, and the built-in ATC may go wonky. If you use third party addons for those things, that may not matter.

Thanks again Tim for sorting out my self inflicted problem. I will enjoy my mouse mat and mug. :D
