Tim what is the recommended method of uninstalling prior to the installtion of an update?

Delete or rename the folder. Nothing else is required.  :)

I uninstalled the previous version by deleting the folder, then installed build 362. I then built the database for FSX when requested.

When I ran Plan-G, I found that all my previous settings and preferences were still in place. Also, a flight plan that wouldn't load previously was now showing, although I hadn't loaded it.

How, if I had deleted the earlier Plan-G, did the new version know what my settings and preferences were? Something must have been left in place after it had supposedly been deleted.

These are not "problems" as such, but points to ponder.

Thanks Tim for this great programme.

The persistent settings are stored in the registry, (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TAS\Plan-G) There's currently no mechanism to delete the key, but I can look into adding one...

Plan-G doesn't remember the flight plan that's in memory, so you must have loaded it  ;) The log will tell...

The FP that appeared, was one that I loaded yesterday for the VFR Flyers flight. It showed on the GPS, but but not in Plan-G. A problem that 362 rectified.

I didn't download 362 until this morning, then when I started it the FP was on display. I certainly didn't load it after installing 362.

I haven't actually flown with 362, but when I ran it and clicked on the Globe, yesterdays FP showed up as a Previous Flight.

By the way. Where do I find the log?

The list you see on the app menu is just the 8 most recently accessed files. It won't load them unless you click on them.

The log file is in your Plan-G folder.

I've had a look in the Log file Tim. Most of it relates to the installation of 362. I can't see anywhere that Nottingham to Carlisle was loaded.

I flew Biggin Hill to Fairoaks on FP that I created with Plan-G. That all shows.

As I said, it's not a problem. I just wondered how it had happened.
