Sorry, back with a daft question:

I'm trying to modify a waypoint (Section: 11.4.1) but can't find the OK button to save my changes!  :-[

11.4.1

Try editing it by right clicking on the map - dunno why the button's missing.

Thanks for your quick reply, but still no luck.

Right clicking on, say, the tv mast at Croydon, does indeed make the ok button available.

But changing the elevation from 249 to 550 (which is the correct figure) and then clicking on ok, doesn't change anything!

Hmm. I'll look into it.

Many thanks.

Before retiring, I worked at transmitting stations for 30 years, so I'm rather keen on getting this sort of thing correct in my flight sim.

I too confirm that the edit function via right click on the map doesn't save the changes.
A possible alternate way until fixed.

Data tab | Manage User Waypoints
Using the top sort buttons to find easier -Click on desired antenna then export
Right click on desired antenna and select delete
Modify antennas elevation in the previous export (.csv) & save
Import antenna back in

If it's just 1 antenna should take just a minute or so.

Many thanks, but that's a bit over my head, so I think it best to wait for a proper fix, especially as most of the TV mast elevations are completely wrong!

tim arnot

If there's a lot of waypoints to change, then exporting as csv, fixing the values in notepad and reimporting is almost certainly going to be much quicker.

If you send me the patched csv, I can update the defaults. :)

I'm sorry Mr Arnot, but I wouldn't have a clue how to do that.
