Is there a way to show a google satellite imagery for the map?

This will make it easier to plan VFR flights, that way we can select points on the map according to what we can see in the satellite imagery.

It's not Google but rather Mapbox, follow these instructions but select "satellite" as your preferred map.

Maps are a bit thin on the ground right now, due to server closures and other issues. But we hope to have a new release soon to alleviate the problem, and we will also be bringing more providers online (plus a 'roll your own' option for people that want to build their own map server using OSM data).
