Hello,

As i would like to switch from FSX to P3Dv4, i use Plan G for both simulators temporarely. In FSX everything OK, SQL database 182 Mb. But in P3D, after building the DB, always finished within a minute or so, 28 Mb, no symbols of the airports on the map, i imported the "airspace table" from FSX SQL via csv, via "data tools", the airspaces are on the map, still no airport symbols, i have POI, obstacles VRP etc, but never airports when i use the button "Display Prepar3D data" I asume that the airport data is in the map "scenery" under the simulatormap... seems he does not read data there...

So, i'm afraid deleting FSX completely will cause a problem with Plan G, not showing the airports anymore.

(Path's to the maps for building are correct, and tested a hugh list of aditional scenery locations...)
Does someone have any idea ?
Thank you!

You can use any database within Plan-G with any simulator. But the data may not match, or be out of date. So there are some risks. Nevertheless it will work, for certain values of "work".

If you are experiencing difficulties building a database for P3D, first check that you have correctly identified the P3D scenery.cfg file in Options/Locations. If you are still having problems, please attach your log file here.

Hello Tim,

Thanks for the fast response...My Plan G log file is attached...
Spent again some hours and couldn't find what is wrong, why he does not makes me a complete SQL database for P3Dv4, the airports and all ndb and other nav stuff is not on the map....just only my user waypoints...
Thank you for your time, i hope you see something "unusual"...

It looks to me like you're trying to build the database across a network. Don't do that! 99.9 times out of 100 it won't work, because your directory structures won't match. Build the database on the FS PC and then copy it across.

Thanks Tim!

I was'nt aware of that. Yes, for some reason "he" can't read the directory structure, i mean reading "in" or under a subdirectory. However the maps are set with all the "rights" open as match as possible...
Anyway, installed a version of Plan G on my PC with the sim, build the DB and placed a copy of the database on the networked "maps PC" Works fine now!
