I don't have a separate install of SQL Server, only CE as required by Plan-G. On the dev PC and on my laptop (with no dev environment) - it builds on both. Both are Win 10.

That did it! I didn't have to rebuild the database but it now works with the existing build.

Thanks Tim, you're a genius :)

Tim,  the fix you posted above worked.  I think people should know that after downloading and unzipping, you just need to put the .exe file into your plan-G folder overwriting the original.  Many thanks.

The full build is now on the main site.  :)

Fantastic work, database is now building correctly on my vanilla installation and is 229MB in size.  :)
Where was the problem?

tim arnot

At the start of building the database, Plan-G deleted the old database (if present) and created a new one. The create database code was very old, and somehow never got updated to use Entity Framework. Consequently it wasn't using the global connection string, and so the max database size never got set.

The irony is, this bad connection string gets listed at the start of every log file, so it's been staring me in the face the whole time! (but it's presented as a data location, not as a connection string)

BTW, make sure you're running build 167, not 166, since 166 didn't commit the Intersections table after building.

Yes, I'm running 167 which seems to work perfect. 166 made lots of errors with custom scenery.
I'll keep fingers crossed that the issue is solved forever.  :)

I am having this problem but the link no longer works??                  ://www.dropbox.com/s/fsd5jdued10v6x3/Plan-G3.2.2.166.zip?dl=0

166 was a bad build, as stated 2 posts up. Download 167 from the main site.
