Set this as the active leg

I confess to being baffled by this. Sometimes I can load a flight plan, select a leg halfway through, right click, and the option "Set this as the active leg" appears at the top of the list. Other times, I do exactly the same, and the option doesn't appear. Am I doing things in the wrong order?

This is with v 4.0.0.233 on my P3d v4 machine and the same version running on my remote pc hosting the plan.

Are you connected to the sim? You should only see this option when the sim is connected.

Is the leg you're selecting part of a procedure (departure/star/arrival) or an alternate destination? If so, it might be that the option appears when you're not connected (which is wrong)

Yes I am connected, and each leg is airfield to airfield.

I have set up routes to tour a complete country, so there can be, say up to 50 airfields in a route. I test the routes are flyable by loading the complete route, and then setting the zoom level to just cover the leg being tested. (I squeeze test flights into my schedule when time allows).  I then right click on the target airfield, and look for the set active leg option. Sometimes it appears, other times it doesn't!

I will attempt to upload a copy of the plan for you to try.

I'll take a look, but big flight plans shouldn't be a problem - what you describe is also the way I fly a lot of the time (although I tend to knock legs off the front of the plan rather than moving the active leg for later sessions).

BTW if you're really on build 233 (i.e. that isn't a typo), please update: an awful lot has changed in the last 10 builds...

If you have the plan window open, it looks like it doesn't pick up a change in connection status. So if you connect, the active leg menu won't appear, and if you disconnect it will be there when it shouldn't. I'll fix it, but the workaround for now is to close the plan window & reopen it after you connect.

Thanks for the workaround.

I do need to update my version, I use it for FSX, FSX-SE and P3dV4, but I thought a lot of the recent changes were for MSFS, so I got lazy, sorry.
