I am currently exploring the world in MSFS2020, and as I don't know the airports I am visiting, I find the "Show Airport Diagram" option to be most useful. However, it could be even more useful if it showed the airport altitude, if that's possible please, it would save me hovering around with the mouse over the plan. Perhaps I should add that I am flying with a VR headset, and I have to sneak a look under the glasses to snatch a look at Plan-G on my networked PC. Of course, it would be even nicer if we could see Plan-G in VR.........

Click on the blue Info icon in the airport diagram box. It shows elevation as well as other useful information. (something I use pretty much every flight...)

No idea about VR, since I don't use it or have it. Is it possible to bring up a regular app while using VR (say, Excel, for example)?

Sorry I missed the blue icon, thanks for that.

I used to use a program called FlyInside with P3d, that had an option to add a window in VR from any open ap, so I was able to use Plan-G with VR. Since moving to MSFS2020 I can use the VR map which shows in VR, but it displays minimal info. Maybe Asobo will add the open ap display window sometime, but at the moment I guess they are busy........

I think I am like many VR users, once you have tried it you don't go back to a screen again.......

As I understand it, to run inside of MSFS, you need to run in a web browser. And to do that would involve a major rewrite of Plan-G (for which there's neither the budget, nor enough hours in the day, nor the inclination). Bear in mind too that anything I do has to work for all the sims -- not just the new kid on the block -- right back to FS9 (yes there are still loyal FS9 users out there).

I could use Plan-G inside P3d VR because the FlyInside program added that facility to P3d, so I guess it would take that function to be added to MSFS2020 by Asobo, or a 3rd party. I wasn't asking for you to look at it, I'm sorry if I gave that impression.
