please help, I am getting mad, I can't have Plan-g connected to Fs9 in any way, always getting the "FSUIPC not installed or FS9 not running" message, I tried with both unregistered and registered FSUIPC.

This is my log, after I built fs9 database:
....
1.34.24 1.34.24 Writing 24003 Airports to Airports9 table.
1.36.41  Finished writing Airports.
1.36.41 Database load complete.
1.55.42 RibbonButton_Click_ConnectFS
1.55.42 FSUIPC.Connect
1.55.43 Error opening FSUIPC: FSUIPC.FSUIPCException: FSUIPC Error #12: FSUIPC_ERR_SENDMSG. Error sending message to FSUIPC.
   in FSUIPC.FSUIPCConnection.Process(String GroupName)
   in FSUIPC.FSUIPCConnection.Open(FlightSim RequiredFlightSimVersion)
   in FSUIPC.FSUIPCConnection.Open()
   in FS.FSUIPC.Connect()

please note I have both FSX and Fs9 on my pc but I built only fs9 database
I provided the right path for fs9.exe
checked FSUIPC button in Options - FS Connection tab
What else?

Are FS and Plan-G running on the same PC?

What version of FSUIPC are you running?

You have definitely installed the FS9 version of FSUIPC? (It's a separate install from the FSX version - installing one will not install the other)

1 absolutely yes
2 the latest available for FS9 as far as I know, that is 3.98
3 yes, because I installed separately the FSX version, not registered

n.b. I am running a Win7 Ultimate 64bit OS

Thanks for your attention

Where have you put your Plan-G folder?

Are you running Plan-G (and FS) as Administrator?

ok, I tried to run it from different folders with no result
but the solution was running it as administrator as well!  :)  (I already used to launch fs9 as administrator)

many thanks, I hope this could be useful for everybody else running Win7

Hmm, just a hint for compromising: I'm running both, FS and Plan-G, as "limited user" but giving him extended rights for FS and related applications. No problems so far.
