Plan G won't Start

Plan G used to work fine for me.  Sometime in the first of the summer it stopped.  I am now trying to get it going without success

I have

Windows XP
.net 3.5 sp1
plan g .9 or .8 (same result)

FS9 and FSX


Just clicking on the Plan G icon starts the first screen and in 5 seconds or so comes the error meesage.In looking at the folder, it seems mapreset and clearall are greyed out and have and X through them.  Any help would be appreciated because I really like this program.

What is the error message? What does the log file say?

The Plan-G log file : Plan-G_Log.txt

I'm not sure this will help.  The modified date on this file is April 21.  I'm sure I used the program after that.  It was in the Flight Simulator Files folder in My Documents.  When I removed it and attempted to start Plan-G, no log file was generated.

I am using fsuipc v 3.98a, unregistered.

No, the log file is in the same folder as Plan-G.exe.

Don't have one in there.

If you don't have a log file, then Plan-G didn't start. Which normally indicates a missing or corrupt install of .Net3.5 SP1 (the usual suspects are installing the 3.5 "non-SP" version, or jumping straight to 4.0.)

Hello all !

First, many thanks for this great software.

Using it for months, I have a problem today when starting Plan-G : I've got 4 script error message then "Plan-G is unable to launch the GoogleMaps Interface, please check ..."

1) I've checked my scripts & Plug-ins options in IE 8
2) checked my .net : ok, 3.5 SP1
3) Plan-G log says :

I follow the link but GoogleMaps works fine in IE.

That happened to me this morning - I think it might be something MS did in their latest update.

This is what I did to fix it:

Open Internet Explorer
Go to the Safety menu (this might be shown as a shield on your menu bar)
Select 'Delete Browsing History', and click Delete.
