Help
I have FSX and FS9 installed on my main flight machine (Vista64).
WideFS V4 registered on FSX, FSUIPC registered on FS9.
WideFS and Plan-G installed on my second machine (Vista32) and again on my XP laptop.
Not using Simconnect, collecting the FSX database, and connecting Plan-G to FSX, no problem, from either machine.
I also have FS9 on the second machine, and tried with the .EXE removed, thinking that P-G was confused, but the fact the same thing happens on the laptop, negates that idea.

Collecting the FS9 database from either machine, no problem.
Trying to connect, keep getting message 'is FS9 running and have you got FSUIPC installed'

Yes to both.

A dim light is glowing, I am using the modified FS9.exe NoCD and the FS9.1 update, please tell me that this will make a difference or not.

Otherwise I will have to run P-G on my flight machine with a second screen fitted, urk!

Building the database is entirely unconnected with FSUIPC (or SimConnect).

The NoCD hack should not make a difference to connectivity.

What versions of FSUIPC + WideFS are you using with FS9? My suspicion is you are trying to connect FS9 FSUIPC to FSX WideFS...

Tim
I am using the latest WideFS, which I have been lead to believe is compatiable with both FSX and FS9.
In theory I then only need one WideFS and FSUIPC installed on each Sim.
A thought, have I got the WideFS.dll installed on FS9??I will go and check
Maybe I have not put it in, silly me.

ffisher67

Nope
FS9 does not like the latest WideFS.
Ah well, back to the drawing board.

Problem solved!!
WideFS V4 is under my new email address
FSUIPC V4 and V3 is under my old email address.
I can only register WideFS in FSX or FSUIPC in FSX
I can only register FSUIPC V3 in FS9
My email address has to be common to all registerations.
Damn!
