Imported Waypoint .CSV Crashes Plan-G

I downloaded and imported the Alps Turnpoints (AustriaTurnpointsplan-g.zip) from this website:

http://www.ukvga.org.uk/turnpoints.php

The .CSV imports fine, and the waypoints show up in Plan-G, however, right-clicking any of them to add to flight plan, or edit user waypoint, results in a CTD. I ended up having to delete all the added waypoints to be able to use Plan-G again.

What could be the problem?

Ok thanks, I'll fix it for the next update.

The problem is that magnetic variation values are missing from the csv file (these are compulsory). I can patch it up so it won't crash, but ultimately BVGA needs also to correct their data, since calculated headings using these turning points will be wrong.

Ah, OK, thanks very much. Where is a good source for correct .CSV files to import, then? I'm concerned with soaring flights in FSX, and often use the Worldwide Soaring Turnpoint Exchange:
http://soaringweb.org/TP

They have files in various formats for different soaring software, but I don't think there is anything there in Plan-G format, so I end up just making my own as I need them.

I did not know the Magnetic variation was compulsory, glad I came across this post.

The Alps turnpoints have now been amended on th UK VGA Turnpoint webpage

Strange that out members did not report any crashes  :-\

Are all the other fields compulsory Tim? Would really like to know.

Also on the subject I imported a new omarama turnpoint file and said only 20 out of 201 had imported.
Checking thelog file it pointed that the field length for the identifier is too long which was quickly rectified by limiting that field to 10 in excel.

I imported the file again and said it had imported 198 out of 201 and the log did not show any errors. Any way of finding out why the 3 rows were not imported ?

Tag and Notes are really the only optional values. (you must still supply the correct number of commas though).

As for the records not imported, look for blank lines on the end of the file -- the 'out of' value is just the line count for the file. Otherwise, anything not imported should be logged.
