hi.., at first let me say thank you for this wonderful Software.

the VOR_NDB´s and the Airspace boundaries are not shown
send you the logfile in the attachement.
- windows XP Laptop (it is a Network-PC connected with my FS-Vista_Machine), NetFramework is updatet..

hope you can help..!?

Thanks
Walter from Munich

You'd need to send me tle log from when you built the database. Something would seem to have got corrupted. Rebuild the database, and if it is still a peoblem, send me the new log (it will be much bigger).

walter1158

hi,
now i made a new build database, but the logfile has about 6MB - ho to send..?

bye
Walter

tim arnot

Ah.

Just copy and paste the first couple of screenfuls -- it's likely to be the same error repeated 6 million times, so I only need to see the first few.

No, I need the first couple of screenfuls from when you start building the database...

Tim. @TimArnot

walter1158

tim arnot

Yes. Aftwer you build the database the logfile will most likely be massive. Just provide the first couple of screenfuls of the log from the point where you started the build.

Tim. @TimArnot

walter1158

Hi Tim,
here are the new screenshots from the Logfile.., i think G-Plan could not find the directory to some addon scenery..
Bye
Walter

tim arnot

I was expecting you to copy-paste about 10k's worth of text from the log file, not make an 850k pdf from it (which is probably four times bigger than the entire log!) ;)

Never mind.

It appears you are trying to build the database from your FS PC across the network. To do this, your FS install has to be mapped exactly onto your Plan-G PC (including the drive letters). The error ein teil des pfades [C:\...] konnte nicht gefunden werden shows you have scenery on your FS PC C drive. It would really need to be on some other frive (e.g. F:) so that it could be mapped as F: on your other PC.

As it is, what you will need to do is install Plan-G onto your FS PC, build the database and then copy it across to the laptop.

i copied the files MEF.sdf, PlanG_FS9.sdf, PlanG_FSX.sdf + UserWaypoints.sdf from the Data Folder of the G_Plan - FlightPC-Installation into the Data Folder of the NetworkPC, everything seems OK - but the VOR and NDB icons aren´t not shown...

tim arnot

Are the icons present in your Plan-G\WebIcons folder?

Are there any errors shown in the log when you draw the map?

Tim. @TimArnot

walter1158

Hi Tim,
the icons are present.
-by me it is not possible to use G-Plan in a network connection (XP + Vista). And i could not build a Database from the G-P Installation on XP-PC to Vista-FS-PC, there are many compiling errors- meaning ? .sdf and SQL, it is maybe a Database problem and XP is not able to read out the .bgl files.
- trying to make the Databuild on Vista (Network-Connection to the G-P Installation on XP) does likewise not operate.
sadly can i not use this fantastic Programm running FSX on Fullscreen.

Walter

tim arnot

As I said above, building the database across a network requires the exact same drive mappings on both PC, and for this, FS cannot be installed on the C drive. So in your installation, only the local build and copy option is viable.

You still haven't reported any error when it doesn't display the icons after you've copied the db...

Hi Tim,
now i solved my problems - after days and nights of thinking over. All airspace boundaries, NAV´s and NDB´s are now showing exactly.
The solution was very simplistic:
I tried many-many things - but once i could imagine.., if the G-P database on my FSX-Vista-PC is build correctly- and i copy the DATA-Files to the XP-installed G-Plan, in conclusion that only must be an illustration problem...
And now i changed on XP the country code from German to Englisch (Great Britain)..., and what a surprise..it´s running perfectly!!!!

Thank´s for your efforts!
Walter
