If you are running Plan-G and FS together on a single PC, you must use Windowed mode.

Just starting with Plan-G and don't appear to have any initial install problems using Win7 x 64 .....except for the Manual. When I click the link on the 'download' page a new tab appears on Firefox-google but then nothing happens ......the system doesn't 'hang', I can move the page but the PDF never arrives ?  I used to have 'downloading' problems before, but having discovered I needed the  64bit Firefox that is now cured. I download PDF regularly without a problem.  From all the good 'Press' here I really would like to have the Manual. :'(

Cheers......robomc

I still have my old XP system, and I downloaded the Manual in a flash and transferred it on a dongle.
Then I turned to page 68 to have an initial read of the tutorial flight route. It almost brought tears to
my eyes ! .....I will be 72 this year, and in August 1973 the last leg of my PPL was Carlisle to Blackpool.
Carlisle tower had signed my paperwork and jokingly insisted I returned over the lakes to Blackpool
instead of a backtrack as I had arrived. Together we agreed this would necessitate a track at 6000ft.
I had trained at this height a couple of times for spins ....but solo... this was all new for me.
By the time I had climbed up there in a 180 Cherokee and leveled out, like sitting on a jelly, I was amazed
and somewhat delighted to see Blackpool Tower sat on the end of the nose !!....
It certainly was an August day to remember.
If this story is of any interest to younger members, please move it where it ought to be.
Many thanks ...robomc.
