Initialization problem

When I first ran Plan G after installation, I did not get a window asking me to build the database.  All buttons in the "Data" section are greyed, except user waypoints.  The log says that the FSX data set is selected (I guess by default).

Plan G connected OK with my FS  (FS9), via Wide FS, and the moving map functionality is all there  (SUPERB!)  but I have no navaid data showing.

I have tried to reinstall from scratch to force the initialization screen but to no avail.  There must be a cookie that tells Plan G that it is already initialised?

Thanks for your help.

If you are running Plan-G on a remote Machine, you will need to tell it where to find FS (Plane icon -> Options -> Locations, and browse to your FS folder). If your FS folder and all the scenery folders are not shared on your network (with identical network paths to those specified in the scenery.cfg), you will find it easier to install Plan-G on the FS PC, build the database, and then copy the folder wholesale onto the remote PC.

All fixed!   Many thanks for the quick reply.  I had somehow not noticed there was a menu behind the airplane icon...

Thanks for making this great program available to the community.

Cheers.
