Just registered having found this marvellous software. It must be the find of the year for me!

Just a quick question, I am running the Reality XP Garmin 500W in which I can create a flight plan but because the Pan G gives such a stunning visual experience and is technically easier to use in many ways I was wondering whether I could get the best of both Worlds by importing a plan created by Plan G into my Garmin 500W and still have the visual experience of Plan G? Use of the Garmin 500W makes the stock FSX GPS redundant. The only problem I think would be that the Garmin has its own data base which may be in a different 'plan' file format.

Do you mean the 530W?

As far as I know, it's not possible to import plans to the RXP units.

Thanks Tim. I think my use of the description '500' is just a general term for the 400/500 series but yes it is the 530. Just as I thought that I don't think it is possible.  cheers

With Plan G I totally stopped using the GPS including Reality XP.  I have it set in the cfg that FS9 doesn't pause when switching windows and that's now how I fly, in a window.  I don't even notice it anymore.  It's easy to click the icon in the taskbar, look at what's going on, and click back on the FS9 icon.  If I need more time, I can pause.  Plan G, for me, is the perfect GPS.  It has all the political borders, roads, terrain, aircraft diagrams, flight planner, etc.  I even gave up using FSDiscover.

Exporting for Reality XP would be very appreciated, but I think it's not possible because the difference between FSX and GARMIN database.

But in general when you export for an FMC isn't there the same problem? Airac cycle is different from fsx database.

Why can't you export lat/lot waypoint and its name (inserted inplan-g) in format compatible with Reality XP?

Many thanks
