Hi,
I'm new to PlanG (v2.0.5.493).  I recently installed it on Windows XP SP3 and FSX SP1.
I've received the following message several times just browsing through PlanG to get familiar.  It seems when i click anywhere on the map this error follows about one minute later.

"PlanG has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you are in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost"

My connection parameters are Auto (FSUIPC) - Pipe - localhost, i use this because i was getting a different error message with default settings.

Any suggestions to resolve this are most appreciated

Thanks
bhavin

For me the solution is to run Clearallsettings :D

Thanks a lot for your work Tim ;)

Hello all,

I need your help. I did a clean install of Plan-G on my notebook (Win7) and built the database without problems. But every time I connect Plan-G to FSX (also on a Win7 system), it crashes after few (3 - 5) seconds with the same error message:

QuoteProblemsignatur:
  Problemereignisname:   CLR20r3
  Problemsignatur 01:   plang.exe

The ClearAllSettings.exe did not solve my problem.

On my notebook I have some other programs, which all connect to FSX without problem. Some with simmconnect, and some with FSUIPC (registered version).

Anybody with an idea for a solution?

Thank you.  Regards,   Peter

Try turning off the traffic display in Settings, and see if that helps.

Hello Tim

First of all, thank you for this great tool.  :13:

Yes, it works now - but there are some strange things to mention:
1. When I switched off the Traffic (moving & parking) and re-started Plan-G, it crashed anyway. Only after switching off "show trail", it worked perfect (at least, for the last 40 minutes - fingers crossed).
2. However, even with switched off traffic, I still see some traffic - most of them at my starting airport, but also a (very) few en-route. And traffic is shown parked and moving.

For the time being, I am very happy to have Plan-G running on my system. I do not mind the traffic.

Thank you for the fast response, and the help.

Regards,  Peter

Ok, I'll take a look when I get to the FSUIPC interface code for v3.
