Have you tried running ClearAllSettings?

Tim. @TimArnot

Arismac

Thank you for your reply Tim.

I only have seven seconds to achieve this so could you guide my mouse to the spot please. I have read a searched the manual and the only reference I can find is the KML file clearing (Section 9.15). But the program does not stay open long enough for me to locate this.

I did manage to instruct it to build a new FSX Database and it stayed open while doing this. But then crashed as soon as the operation was complete.

Cheers, Mac

Tim,

I did another uninstall via the Win7 Control Panel, reinstall and build the Database. Now things seem to be working OK again. Certainly there have been no new crashes in the last fifteen minutes.

ClearAllSettings is a separate program.

Tim. @TimArnot

Arismac

Thanks, where do I find the program, Tim.

In the meantime I managed to get this file which was referenced in a crash

I have run into the a similar problem. Plan G is terminating a few seconds after the desktop map displays, and the typical error message refers to the fault module 'kernelbase.dll'. Recently I installed Windows 7 32 bit and Plan G v 2.0.5.493 did run fine in Windows 7 until a few days ago. Multiple uninstalls and reinstalls have not been successful. I also checked for  'run as admin'.

I checked my system log and updates, and apparently a key event which happened after my last successful load of Plan G was that Windows Update installed .NET Framework 4. Apparently I must have had Framework 3.5 before the problems began. Does this provide further clues about this issue?

Anyway, I tried 'ClearAllSettings.exe' in the Plan G folder, and marvellous! It worked. After a re-install the database set up and everything looks good. Thanks for that tip, Tim. I don't recall seeing it in the manual, but I did find reference to this program in the ReadMe.txt file (to Uninstall).   :azn:

After a clean installation Plan-G crash and crash when I tried to connect with FS9 :'( I tried 'ClearAllSettings.exe' but continue to crash :'( Any idea. Thanks :) I've FS9 and FSX and I installed only in FS9. I'll tried to install in FSX too.

Davicho61

After running the database for the FSX, Plan-G works in FSX only. I'll try again with FS9 and hope the problem will be solved ???

Davicho61

Very strange, but it works well with FSX and when I try to connect with FS9 only crash :-\ I'll try in another moment with FS9, right now I'll use as a Newbie in this matters with my FSX. Thanks for the Plan-G. Tim  :)

tim arnot

Do you have the correct version of FSUIPC? Is there an error in the log when you try to connect?

Tim. @TimArnot

Davicho61

tim arnot

Try turning off traffic. Or weather.

Tim. @TimArnot

Davicho61

Without traffic again crash, I'll try without weather and I don't know but I've the FS9 no cd patch, maybe this is the problem ???
