Can't print map

In V3, I can preview and print the flight plan, but when I click on "Print Map" the preview window remains blank (white) and I cannot print the map.  Also the menu items (File, Home etc.) disappear from the background map until I minimize and then maximize the window.

Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening or what I can try?  I did a repair of V3, which did not work and I deleted and reinstalled it.  Again, the map does not show up in the preview window, but the flight plan does.  I have been able to print with V2 just fine other than the page size issue.

I can't tell, so to simplify things I opened the program, created a simple one-leg flight and tried to print the map.  Again, no map appears in the print preview window.  I chose Exit and here is what the error log reads:

Do you have FS running when you try to print?

No, FS is not running, nor any other program.  (I've not had a printing problem before with Plan-G, other than the print not matching the screen view in V2.  However, I know from previous discussions that you are aware of that issue in V2.)  As I've said, the flight plan appears in the preview window normally and prints normally, it's just that when Print Map is selected, the preview window remains white and no current map appears.
