Problems connecting to X-Plane 9

I'm using FSX as well as X-Plane 9 on the same PC with Win 7 64-bit OS. I've installed version 3.0.0.46 of Plan-G on my computer and then followed the instructions as per user manual (XPUIPC connection). It works fine with FSX but not with X-Plane. When I start X-Plane, select the X-Plane database and connect, it connects but without displaying the yellow aircraft.
Lastly, I'm not sure how to export the Airspace data from FSX to X‐Plane? I've selected the Data tab/Data Tools and then the Name List Export button. It is the exported to Plan-G Files directory as Airports_Export(PG).csv. From here I need help, par.11.3: "If you have an existing CSV file of airports, you can merge your exported data into that file. When the Plan‐G files window opens, select your existing CSV file. Duplicate records are removed." How and where do I select the csv file?
Thanks for a great product!

1. You should be using build 50, not build 46
2. Make sure 'Display User Aircraft' is selected in options
3. You are reading the details to update the names of AIRPORTS not the details to import AIRSPACE. The instructions are right there at the top of the dialog and visible in the screenshot immediately above the text you quoted. It is clearly differentiated between airspace and airports. If this is not clearly enough explained, please tell me how we can improve it and we will rewrite it.
