hi just like to say what a fantastic program im new to vfr flying and along with vfr genx flying has never been so good. just one question regarding weather im using opusfsx to inject the weather into fsx, does plan g then get the same weather info ie.wind speed and direction as i notice that plan g is different from what opus shows. i have not done a flight plan yet just a free flight to make sure my simconnect works ok, does a flightplan have to be made for the winds to show correctly.

If you're looking at TAFs and METARs, they come directly from NWS/NOAA and are about as up to date as you can get. (they are all time stamped, so it's easy to check how old a report is)
