Problem connecting Plan G to FSX

Hi Just dowloaded the latest version of Plan G all seems to work fine but cannot make a connection to FSX.  Seems like it times out. Log gives this message -

16:32:20.0 SimConnect.Connect - Remote. Mode = IPv6 Server = ::1 Port = 0
16:32:20.0 sc_OnRecvException SimConnect Exception:BeatlesBlog.SimConnect.SIMCONNECT_RECV_EXCEPTION
16:32:25.0 SimConnect connection attempt timed out
16:32:25.0 Disconnect
16:32:26.0 Disconnected from sim

Any advice would be much appreciated

Is your FSX patched to SP2/Acceleration?

Yes its FSX "Gold" Edition... the box states its X Delux and acceleration Expansion pack

Are you trying to connect to FS running on the same PC or across a network? You appear to be using IPv6... What is your operating system? If it's XP, did you install IPv6 on it? If not, switch to IPv4.

I am connecting on a single PC running Windows 7.

I'd still try ipv4 first...

Ipv4 didnt work so I ran the FSX install again and chose the "Repair Installation" option and hey presto connected first time with Ipv6 settings.

Software is a Black Art sometimes, I guess something got corrupted in FSX.
