Hi folks, can anyone make a suggestion as to what I am doing wrong. I have PlanG on networked computer and it connects and works fine.

However on trying to "OPEN" a saved FSX plan or in fact just clicking the "OPEN" button I get a Plan_G3 error "Plan_G3 has stopped working"

Now i have just done a format clean install on my main computer and have shared the my documents FSX files folder to the networked pc.

I repeat that the connection is fine and works between PlanG and FSX I just get a crash when selecting "OPEN" in PlanG.

Is there some share setting that I am missing.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you reassigned "My Documents" to somewhere that might not exist? That's about the only thing I've heard of that could cause a crash on a file open.

Nope. Tim its in the regular place and i have made sure it is shared on network and homegroup and every other way i can think of.

Does the file dialog appear, and if so, do you get as far as selecting the file and clocking OK?

Nope. Does not go further than click open, no screen change then crash error.

I am going to do a new install and see if that fixes.

Have a look in the Windows Application logs (using Event Viewer) - there might be something in that that gives more of a clue what the problem is.
