No instrument approaches in X-Plane 10 (64bits)?

In the process of learning Plan-G (3.0.4.59) I fail to find Instrument Approaches listed on submenus of airports that definitely has them like EGGP (Liverpool) and CYYC (Calgary).

Are Instrument Approaches not available with X-Plane 10 (64bits)?

For Plan-G, there is no différence between the two exes of X plane. The nav data base is the same, wathever the exe you use to launch Xplane.

Is your problem with the information window? If so, have a look at the PDF, page 61.

Plan-G derives its data from the simulator. Since X-Plane does not include instrument approaches in its data set, Plan-G can't show them on the map. However if you have approach plates in pdf format, they can be displayed in a popup window, as per the manual.

Claude, I have no problem with the Information Window. Thanks anyway.

Tim, I was afraid of that. Would the snippet files be the practical use to set up SIDs or STARs once and then insert it in the flightplan when needed?

Absolutely. That's one of the primary uses intended for them (or it would have been if P-G was an "IFR" planner ;))

It could be useful to share the snippet files on the forum...
@ Tim: if someone creates a snippet file containing user waypoints, these are exported with the snippet file or the waypoints must be exported separately?

Plan-G creates temporary waypoints for any waypoint it doesn't know about - this is true whether you are opening a full plan or just a snippet. Just the same as if you dragged the plan marker across the map.

I'll create a place for people to share snippets - that could be very useful. :)
