Since Wednesday's Windows Update of .Net Framework 3.51 and 4 on Windows 7, neither Plan-G 2.05 or 3.0 runs. If I uninstall the updates both work fine.

A similar update to XP doesn't cause a problem.

Any ideas?

I'll look at it when my PC updates tomorrow.

Ran X-Plane, Windows 7, and Plan-G last night, no problems.  The last windows update I had was last Wednesday, the 9th. Checked the update history, it was a fairly big update of around 78Mb and included a few Net framework items.

Two PCs, both updated, and neither had any problems. Not quite sure what to suggest.

George,

You could still be correct. I flew last night and at the end of the flight I closed plan G, then I closed x-plane from the File, Exit, and got a windows had a problem error.  I am getting a XPUIPC NIC error during startup of X-plane. Coincidence since update????  ...I duuno...need to trouble shoot it today. Doubt its Plan G related.

**Update**
This morning I looked at my XPUIPC.INI file. The IPV4 server address had changed, I assume (knowing how to spell that word) the windows update did it. I changed it back to my correct IPV4 address, loaded up X-plane, ran the File, Exit and all went well. Then loaded up Plan G, then X-Plane, had them talk to each other, shut down Plan-G and the X-plane and all is well.
Did the simple trouble with the IPV4 server address cause me the Windows Error during shut down??? I have no idea, when it comes to these 1's & 0's I am just an appliance operator.
Bottom line, its now working.

There are a few vulnerabilities in .Net Framework reported by US-CERT today.

It's certainly possible for the simconnect library to crash if you have an incorrect ip specified (unfortunately it's a black box and I have no way to get in there and fix it).
