Plan G map tiles

The maps require an internet connection.  Is there a way to use Plan G with no map and perhaps just a plain white back ground with the map overlays like the IFR low charts?

Perhaps an additional option along with the other map choices or some sort of "tweak" to the program would be nice.

V3 does cache map tiles locally, so once you've visited an area, you can see the map without being online.
