Can't connect to FSX

Hi,

Looks like a great tool but I'm really struggling to get connected. I've read the manual but it hasn't resolved my issues.

If I select auto it says application has generated an exception that cannot be handled. It gives a process ID some other numbers then says click ok to terminate (then closes the program).

Same if I select FSUIPC as the connection.

SimConnect didn't connect (I couldn't find the xml file so I created a new one as per the manual). When I click connect it makes a groovy noise and I thought it had connected but 15-20 seconds later it came back and said that it couldn't connect to remote flight simulator (timeout).

What do I do - any ideas?

Try changing the connection type to IPv4 -- see the last item in the FAQ. You should only need to create an XML file if you are connecting across a network.

If that doesn't work, post the contents of the log file here (Plan-G_Log.txt)

Are you connecting locally? If so you need to set the IP address to blank, and the port number to 0.
