Hi gang.  Just D/L'ed a new version after my move to P3D.  I'm running W-7 64 bit, no FSUIPC installed.  I cannot access the planning menu ribbons, they are transparent.   I have built the P3D database.  I am planning to use the program as a stand alone--not connected to P3D itself.  Any help would be appreciated

This is a known issue. The simplest thing to do until the fix is released is go into your Plan-G data folder, and copy the P3D database over the FSX database.

Uhh, uhhh, I'm not the most computer adept of people Tim.  Do you mean for me to copy the data found in the Plan-G  P3D folder found in "My Documents" into the FSX folder at the same location?

No, copy (and replace when asked) PlanG3_P3d.sdf to PlanG3_FSX.sdf.

Tim, sorry to keep bothering you with what must be a pretty simple concept for you , but I have no idea where to even find those files.  They do not show up when entered in the Windows Start Panel.   Yes, I have "display hidden folders and files" enabled.

OOps! Just found them.  I'll let you know how things work out

I can't move any data into the FSX file.  The info on the P3D folder shows that data is in there but nothing shows up when I open the file in notepad, only a window saying the program is not responding.  I can open the FSX file in Notepad and see some computer code.

Demious

Its very easy. You go to the folder documents\plan-g files\data, where you find a file called plang3_fsx.sdf. You copy that file and paste it in the same folder and rename it plang3_p3d.sdf.
Go back to Plan-g and you can check the p3d database and click OK. That's it.

No joy doing that either Demious.  I changed the file name as you pointed out and added it to the PlanG files in documents & rebuilt the database but the tabs across the top of the map are still not available.  I wonder if perhaps this is because I am running P3Dv2.2?

Oops!!  Let me rephrase that.  After I did things correctly, I'm up and running again.  Thanks :)
