New Installation problems

Hello, I could sure use some help. I'm having some issues getting the program to show all the menu options. I can't get "File" to activate either. I read in the forum that I need to delete the config file but I can't locate it on my PC. I don't seem to have any Users/My Name/APPData location. I'm using Win 7 Pro. Prepar3D 2.2.

All I have available is to make a database build and then make a plan but I can't get "File" to work.

yes you do.

it's just that it's a system folder that's usually hidden.
i'm on Windows 8 and use Directory Opus as file manager but just search Google for "Show hidden system folders Windows 7", without the quote signs.

Nevermind, I figured it out by reading in a previous forum post on how you can remedy this by copying the Prepar3d.sdf file over to the FSX version and that did the trick.
