Installation Woes!

Having a devil of a job to get plang installed and working  :(
This is FSX on XP SP3

After installation the software did run and all three windows opened - but then a second or two later they all closed and the program simply terminated.  A bit of poking around revealed some .net errors in the event viewer.  Tried patching and repairing without success but ended up having to uninstall .net and then download it and reinstall.

This solved the initial issue and plang now runs and stays running.

However when trying to do the initial database build it eventually hangs on "writing 70927 airways".  The log file ( attached ) has some very detailed errors but nothing that is helpful!

Panic over....

I realised, despite a fresh download from Mickysoft, there were two updates for .NET available:-

Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008 x86 (KB2600217)
Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008 x86 (KB2836939)

Installed both of these and the problem has gone away.
