Hi, I have recently installed P3D and  version V3.1.1.94 .  Now I find FSX will not connect to Plan-G  Can anyone suggest a possible reason for this,is there a setting I may have missed. I do not have the twosims running at the same time.

daveebee

Hi,Further to my previous post ,I am able to connect  to P3D  in  the usual way without any problems.

Hi

The only thing I can think of is:

1.  Have you selected "Display FSX Data" under DATA ribbon and
2. Have you got the correct locations set up under FILE OPTIONS/LOCATIONS to show both FSX and PREPAR3D

Cheers

Please attach the log file showing your failed connection attempt.

Hi Tim, I am sending you another Plan-G log that I did this morning. When I am online with another person they can see my (red aircraft icon) when they have connected to PG3, I cannot see my yellow aircraft or their red one, I hope this helps. Plan-G appears to be fully functional when I am in P3D and online via Vpilot.....09:15:05.7

It's throwing an error saying the port number is invalid - it may be in use. Do you have a simconnect.xml set up for FSX that has maybe assigned port 0?

Tim. @TimArnot

daveebee

Hi Tim, Are you saying that my localhost port should something other than 0 ? What I don't understand is why my P3D Works (using VPilot) in both P3D and Fsx . Where the Plan-G files does the Port  number reside?

tim arnot

No, I'm saying you may have something configured in FSX that allocates port 0 - simconnect.xml for instance. All Plan-G tries to do is open it. It works when P3D is running. Therefore it's FSX that's got it allocated.

Tim. @TimArnot

Hi Tim, I tried going to Plan-G/files/fs connection, and then changing from Sim Connect(where it had always previously been) to FSUIPC  and now it's working well. I don't know why the previously would work with P3D and not FSX , but its all working now, T|hanks for your help.
