Can't get any map info to display Plan-G 3.1.2, Win XP, DotNet 4.0

Installed Plan-G without problem.  Scan of X-plane 10 scenery completes after about 6 or 7 minutes, and I have verified that it has written a database file.  All good so far.  However, the map screen will not display any data.  I should point out that the XP is running under VirtualBox on a Linux machine.  I gather this should work?  Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be wrong?

Make sure you have all the DotNet updates installed. One of them broke some of the database handling, and you need to have the later ones to fix it. See http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2904.msg14461#msg14461
