Planning software won't startup

AFter clicking the exe-file I get the following error :



I use ms-internet browser 8.0 and the settings for Java are set correct in the browser settings.

.net version 3.5 as the readme told me.  Vista home premium 32 bits, nvidia geforce 9800GT+ , 4mb memory.

You need .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.

That's what I have.  I hope you can come up with a solution and stop asking me how to install. I did install and set settings as described.  Am I the only one were it does not work ?

It is almost certainly an IE script/security issue. Go through the points listed in the message, particularly points 2, 3 and 4. Follow the link: There you will find step-by-step instructions on how to check the security settings etc.

Yes , I did got through steps 1-4 and yes google earth runs fine and also all other software like fs9 , fsx , fscommander etc.
And finaly I found the solution but it's a crazy one. The plan-g software appearantly must be installed on the drive were the operating system boots , in my case C:\     C:\Plan-G\  works but D:\Plan-G does not  >:D >:D

There may be further clues in the log file (Plan-G_Log.txt).

Where did you install Plan-G? If you installed it to Program Files (which is specifically not recommended), it may be that Windows was firther blocking the script calls.

As a follow-up, I too installed on the non-system drive D:\FS9Online\Plan-G and got the same error. After moving to C:\Plan-G everything built ok and the the db was built.

I am using WinXP SP3, .NET3.5 SP1, FS9.1

Incidentally, on the initial failure, after the messagebox was okayed, the UI disappeared but the app was still running (presumably still trying to build the database).

Did you see what error was reported in the log file? It cold be one of three) This is the first I've heard of it not working on a non-system drive, but it's certainly worth a followup.

Typically I do not have that log file so what I did was this to try to repeat the original situation.

Deleted HKCU\Software\TAS

Unzipped to D:\FS9Online\PLAN-G

Run the app

Acknowledge the Build Database dialog

App starts up with no error connecting to Google Maps

Build the FS9 database

All worked as expected.

So I don't know what happened first time, sorry.

I have attached the logfile for this reinstall but I guess it will only tell you that everything in the garden is lovely.
