I installed Windows 10 today, up from Windows 7, and when I later started PlanG v3.1.2 it apparently needed to set up the database for P3D 2.5. I ran it several times because it was hanging upon almost completing the job. I rebooted etc but to no avail. I was going to reinstall but was unsure which of the latest to d/l ie for W7 or W8.1.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Several people have reported 'File is locked' type errors after upgrading (there should be no requirement to rebuild the database unless you deleted it). The solution is usually to reboot the PC, after which it works fine.

I have the same problem after win 10 upgrade. Deleted entire Plan-g program and folders, re-installed and rebuilt database successfully. Plan G worked fine.
Today, back to same problem. Requires database.
Flight plan saved yesterday loads fine but, of course can't do anything with it.
Thanks for a super program I'm sure this is just a minor glitch somewhere.

I think I've cracked it.
Right click on menu item or shortcut and click 'run as administrator'.
All works!

Just to add to this thread:

Last night I upgraded my Windows 7 laptop to Windows 10 and this morning one of my Windows 7 desktop PC's to Windows 10. Plan G worked fine on both of them. The only thing I did before the upgrade was to update the video card drivers for both computers.

Cheers,
