C:\ProgramData\LockheedMartin\Prepar3D v3, as far as I'm aware.

Thank you Tim for scenery.cfg for Prepar3D v3.

Thank you Tim for scenery.cfg for Prepar3D v3.
After entering your "C:\ProgramData\LockheedMartin\Prepar3D v3" I also added file called "Scenery"found in the Prepar 3D v3 directory so the total entry in the 'Locations' box was C:\ProgramData\LockheedMartin\Prepar3D v3\scenery

When choosing Build Navigation Database the files started loading (took a while) when finished Plan G would not recognize aircraft on the map.

I am enclosing my log file. Hope you can tell me what I was doing wrong.

My Prepar3D v3 and my FSX are both on my E:\ drive, FSX Plan G works well.

It's not finding the cfg, at least it's not reading the data. Not sure what you mean by would not recognise aircraft.

Not sure what you mean by would not recognise aircraft.

The P3Dv3 map does not show the location of the aircraft as it does in FSX map

Are you connected? The log file doesn't show a connection attempt.

Hello Tim,

Are you talking about the connect button in map view?

When I click on the map  view in FSX the connect button in FSX it shows a yellow aircraft at the airport I chose.

When i click on the map view in P3Dv3 the connect button in P3Dv3 I do not get anything.

You're talking about something inside P3D itself? I have no clue about that.

Tim,

I'm sorry I must not be explaining properly appreciate your effort to help.

I am talking about Plan G map TA Software.

Everything is in Plan G maps for FSX and P3Dv3 nothing to do with P3Dv3 other than that is where I have placed the aircraft.

When I hit Plan  G-3 (v 3.1.2.101) icon it connects me to Plan-G3 map.

I am trying Tim,

Hello Tim,

I have managed to connect Plan G with P3D v3.
In In the "FS Connecton" I changed "FSUIPC" to "SimConnect" and it connected with Plan G.

But SimConnect does not connect to FSX any longer. Will I have to change the connection manually to FSUIPC when I change the versions of flight Simulator.
Or am I still doing something wrong.
Please help,

You require a separate simconnect.xml file for FSX and P3D. Plan-G can only work with one file at this time, so you will need to reset the location if you change sims.

Hello Tim,

thanks for your reply, I guess that explains it all.

Will there be a new xml file that will work with both FSX and P3D v3 in the future ?

Changing the files manually is no problem.

Thanks for your help as always.
