Hi

New user having just installed X-Plane Global x64 (Steam).

Having successfully connected to the X-Plane exe and generated the database,  I notice compared with screen shots on your website, my version seems to be missing the ability to generate Airspace zones.
I notice that on the ribbon there is a Airspace colour guide but I do not see any on the map.
If I connect to FSX, I can see the airspace areas without problems.

Am I missing something?

Many thanks

X-Plane has only recently started supporting airspace, and even then, only in a few parts of the globe. Plan-G 3.1.3 can display this airspace, but it should be considered a beta feature.

If you have FSX, you can also transfer airspace from the FSX database via the Database Tools dialog. See manual page 59 for instructions.

Because X-Plane contains no airspaces and not all X-Plane users have a FSX installation and the FSX data can also be very old,

maybe it possible to support the openAIP (http://www.openaip.net/) database?

X Plane is delivered only with US airspaces.

You can cover other parts of the world:

The format is the same, you just need to put the files where Plan-G will find them. (an "Add airspace" dialog is on the to-do list, but without a working Windows machine, there's not much I can do right now)
