No worries, mutley, and thanks for the suggestions :) I've tried to open all those files in ADE and get

Most logically, it's going to have KCGX in the filename. Probably worth searching the hard drive for any other files containing the ICAO.

Yup, one of the first things I did, as I couldn't find the scenery folder where it normally would be, non-DLC. Just did another search to confirm - all KCGX files reside in C:\Steam\steamapps\common\ . . .\DLC\379548\KCGX\scenery. This is the folder where I have Plan-G pointed to. Yet ADE says none of those KCGX files are airports  ???

My other thought is, for it to show up in FSX, it has to be in the one of the folders listed in the scenery.cfg. Maybe there's a folder there that Plan-G can't access (permissions possibly?) That ought to be noted in the log file.

I'm starting to think it has more to do with Steam DLC than anything else. I ran another program recently that compiled FSX scenery for its own use, and got an error message that Meigs and Nuuk scenery were 'not available.' These are the only two sceneries I have that are DLC from steam.

I'll take a look at the log file . . . where ??? :-[

Plan-G_Log.txt in My Documents\Plan-G Files. It's only kept for 1 day, otherwise it would be massive!

I get a few 'Failed (wrong format)' entries in the log, but the only KCGX entry is where I have it scanning the folder for the scenery files. I've tried both
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\DLC\379548\KCGX
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\DLC\379548\KCGX\scenery

neither one produces anything. The only KCGX log entry is

As you can see, it didn't find the airport bgl in the scan, but no errors otherwise.

So, are they encrypting stuff in Steam, I'm starting to wonder . . . ? (bit of a bugger if they are!)

Not sure. Plan-G did seem to find the Nuuk scenery - also Steam DLC. But this is Aerosoft content, so KCGX may be an ORBX proprietary issue.
