First, may I congratulate Mr Arnot on an excellent piece of software.  :)

I'm a UK pensioner with only a basic computer knowledge, but I've managed to install PlanG on my laptop alongside my desktop which runs FSX.

I've no idea what the SimConnect codes mean but, after following the manual closely, it worked first time!

Now to my question.

I'm using PlanG as a moving map with AI aircraft (from Traffic 360) displayed.

I note that I can see details briefly (manufacturer, model, altitude etc) if I hover the mouse over the aircraft icon.

What I would like is to have these details (especially altitude) permanently displayed under the icon as it moves across the map.

Is this possible, please?

Sorry if this has been asked before or is in the manual...

Thank you.

(I've made what I hope is an appropriate donation for your work, but please keep quiet about it as I've my TG reputation to protect!  )

No, the aircraft don't display permanent tags. There is a popup traffic window, accessible from the View ribbon, which will give a listing of all aircraft nearby. and you can enable breadcrumb trails from settings, but that's about it.

PS, what donation?  ;)

That's a shame, as I was hoping the moving map would look like a real world ATC display.

But not to worry, I'm still very pleased with the software which has added greatly to the enjoyment of my flight sim.
