The new Build worked with XP-11 and all of my airports.

Attached is the log.

I did not run it as administrator.

opjose

Well maybe not!

I was able to see the airports immediately after the build completed.

I exited Plan-G and about an hour later went back into it to generate a flight plan.

Now no airports appear.

There is nothing in the log indicating problems reading the data files.

The generated PlanG3_XPX.sdf file is 249,748KB in size.

More info:

VERY strange...

If I revert back to the prior build AFTER the databases have been generated by your test build, the airports appear.

I renamed the EXE's to do this. I did not re-install.

The Airports, NDBs & VORs do not appear using the test build after the initial run.

Sometimes markers don't draw on startup (it's a very old bug that no one has been able to track down, and only happens sometimes to some people). Try moving the map about, zooming in & out etc - that should kick them into life.

Nothing I do causes them to appear using the version that permits the completion of the database build.

Zooming in, zooming out, switching to a different area of the world, etc.

When I switch back to the prior version, they appear within a second.

Thanks.

tim arnot

Very odd.

Can I hear from a few people who *can* build the XP11 database? For the sake of comparison: PC spec, OS & locale, and data revision (You'll see that in the log as, e.g. "1100 Version - data cycle 1710")

Thanks.

I can't get the data base to build either on XP11. Have attached my Plan-G_Log. I was able to get the airports to display if I cancelled the build halfway through, but everything seems to be deleted if I let the whole build go through. I used to use the program in P3D, but haven't been able to get it to install in XP11 yet.

Hi all,

I tried to run Plan-G the first time two weeks ago with the standard version ant then with the test version. I'm using X-Plane 11 (only).
The installation itself went fine but I have my Document folder on my network share. And with this setting it seems like that the to be created data base locks itself.

When I changed the Document folder to a local folder it seems to be better, but it is not succeeding but at a different point.
Correction.... it took a while (without any change in the log) but it finally succeeded!

So I created the data base using the local path and then I moved it to the folder on my network. And it works.

I would prefer, to be able to select a data path individually before creating the data base!

P.S. As a data Provider I use Navigraph.

Any help is welcome.
Best wishes

You can. :) This was added to the current build (see the notes). Change the path in Settings->General, and restart Plan-G.

Hi Tim, I have tried version 3.2 in FSX-SE and P3D v4 and in both cases there was not a problem either loading the program to the location I wanted. However, I have a problem with compiling a data base for P3D v4. It compiles OK, but it is not detecting the UK2000 airfields. I thought it may be because I have the new method for inserting scenery, not in the cfg file, but FSDT fields are inserted the same way and they all show, I have tried pointing Plan G at the UK2000 location, but to no avail.

I do not have this problem with FSX-SE where everything has gone in fine.

One other point, that I have always had with P3D and that is I can only connect Plan G using FSUIPC.

Have you tried putting the UK2000 folders into Plan-G's additional scenery folders list? That should capture anything that doesn't have a scenery.cfg entry.

Also, 3.2 can use the P3D native simconnect library. You need to put a valid simconnect.cfg into the Plan-G program folder and select "Simconnect (P3D)" from the connect options. It's way more reliable than the old FSX library.

I've installed V3.2, ran the database builder on P3D v4 (including UK2000 sceneries) and it worked faultlessly.

Finally my database creation problems are a thing of the past  ;D. Knew if I waited long enough it would be fixed  8).

Hi Tim, yes I have put a pointer to the UK2000 folder in the options/locations but no joy.
