Hi all!

I'm writing regarding a small confusion that I have. I have been using Active Sky Advanced (ASA) from a network pc by simconnect. I order to do this I've modified the fsx.cfg, simconnect.xlm, etc and I am planning to install Plan G in the same pc.

It is possible to run both ASA and Plan G in that configuration?

Do I need to modify these files again?

Which key features do I have to take into consideration in order that keep ASA and Plan G working together?

Thanks!

I don't have ASA, but since Plan-G uses its own inbuilt SimConnect client, you just have to configure Plan-G to use the same port and address as is in your simconnect.xml on the FSX PC.

It's all in the manual.

Let us know how you get on.

I think SimConnect supports up to 64 simultaneous connections per port (or whatever lower limit you may have specified in Simconnect.xml), but you can always open up a second port and use (say) 4500 for ASA and 4501 for Plan-G - just add an extra entry in the xml for whatever protocol you want to use.

Hi all

Special congratulations for Plan-G team. What excellent software! :) What a joy to use it!

After long time I finally got time to sit-down finish the configuration and flight some hours. The procedure is simple no problems with the simconnect, same address, port, as ASA and it was very simple.
Thanks again for your replay!

Nice flights!!
